Signup forms
On Lists and Tags, each list shows a shortcode. Paste it into any page, post or Shortcode block:
[leaf_email_form list="1"]
[leaf_email_form list="1" title="Join the newsletter" button="Sign me up" name="yes"]
Every signup uses double opt-in: the person stays pending until they click the link in the confirmation email. Spam protection uses signed tokens, a hidden honeypot, a minimum-time check and rate limits, so no CAPTCHA is needed. Visitors see the same message whether or not the address already exists.
Managing subscribers
Leaf Email, Subscribers lets you add people (they receive a confirmation email), import a CSV (up to 500 new contacts per file, each asked to confirm), export, mark someone unsubscribed, bounced or complained, and delete a contact with their consent records. Only contacts with the status subscribed receive a campaign.
Moving from MailPoet or another plugin
Use Subscribers, Import existing subscribers for people who already agreed to receive your email. Nobody is asked to confirm again.
- Export your subscribers as CSV (email, first and last name, and the status column).
- Upload the file, choose a list, say where these people agreed, and confirm that you can show their consent. This is saved in each contact’s consent history. Up to 5,000 rows per file.
- Check the preview: Leaf Email guesses which column is which and shows how many will be imported, blocked or skipped.
- Press Import.
Subscribed people are added as subscribed. Unsubscribed, bounced and complained people are added as blocked, never as subscribed. People who never confirmed are skipped. If an address appears twice, the opt-out wins. People already in Leaf Email are never re-subscribed. Nobody is emailed, and the welcome series does not start for imported people. Do not import bought or scraped lists.
