First release of Leaf Email: signup forms, double opt-in, campaigns, a visual builder with 25 templates, queue-based sending through your own mailbox, reports, and free and licensed editions.
Added
- Signup forms with double opt-in and spam protection that needs no CAPTCHA.
- Subscribers, lists, tags, consent records, CSV import and export, and a migration wizard that imports people who already agreed (for example from MailPoet) without asking them to confirm again. Unsubscribes carry over.
- 25 starter templates and a Brand kit that applies your colours, logo and heading font to every template and email.
- Campaigns: send, schedule, pause, resume, cancel, duplicate and delete; personalisation with fallbacks; tag segments.
- File attachments (up to 3 files, 5 MB in total).
- Welcome series of up to five emails, started when someone confirms.
- One-click “Email this post” from the post editor, for the block and classic editors.
- Reports, and optional open and click tracking that stores no IP address.
- A Help and support screen with links, answers and copy-ready support details.
Changed
- Confirmation emails are branded HTML with a button. Confirm and unsubscribe links and pages live on your site, not wp-admin.
- Email layouts hardened for Outlook and Apple Mail.
Security
- Confirm and unsubscribe act only on a button press, so email scanners cannot unsubscribe people by accident. Keys, passwords and queued messages are encrypted at rest.
Known limits
- Brevo and SendGrid delivery is built but not yet verified with live provider accounts.
- Opens are estimates. Welcome series are the only automation.
